Principal’s Message

My message in this space next week will be something like….WOW…’s already Thanksgiving.
But before that ……. let’s not skip the “good stuff” happening right now.

And that “good stuff” is…..our students who have competed (and excelled in) activities like cross country, volleyball and football that all just finished their seasons. Our band students showed us Friday night at the high school football game how far they’ve come. We have students participating in various clubs on campus like garden, chess and film clubs. Our choir is sounding wonderful. But the best “good stuff” may be the students who continue to focus on making the best grades possible. The majority of our students continue to come to school prepared, work hard on having good grades, have fun with friends and do their best to be kind to each other. We’ll see how good their doing when 2nd six weeks report cards are finalized on Friday.

All of that “good stuff” is associated with school activities. Our 7th & 8th graders have transitioned to another sport (basketball) here at school we know many of our students are busy with outside interests as well. There are stock show animals to work with and club teams to participate with outside of school interests. Our students are busy with so many activities that they love and they dedicate a large amount of time to those. And you drive them to all of these things so you’re just as busy as them.

So yes Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks and that turkey or ham will be good. But let’s not look too far ahead and miss the “good stuff” in the here and now.

And while we’re making sure not to miss anything …let’s remember our Veterans on Thursday, Nov. 11th. In fact whether it’s today, Thursday or any day……. THANK YOU VETERANS for your service.

Thanks for taking a look at the Newsletter.
