Danforth Jr. High Newsletter
Monday, Sept. 27th, 2021

Principal’s Message

One six weeks is complete.
Now on to the second six weeks.
On Friday, Oct. 1st report cards will go live on Family Access. As always, if you’d like a paper copy of your child’s report card just send an email to

Our goal each six weeks is for each child to be successful with their academics. A large number of our students have started this school year with strong grades thanks to the work of parents, guardians and teachers. However, there are always a few students who struggle with the rigor of Jr. High and it shows in their grades at the beginning of the year. If your child ended up with grades you think could improve, please be in contact with their teacher(s) and let’s figure out a plan for success moving forward. And one of the first items on that list should probably involve tutorials before or after school.

The school year is always about so much more than academics. There are all sorts of issues associated with school that your child may be struggling with. If that’s the case then please contact our counselor (Lori Pharis) or let me know here in the office. We’re not too far down the road in the 2021-2022 school year to figure out a way to get headed back in the right direction.

Have a good week and thanks for taking a look at the Newsletter.

Our students have done a good job of bringing their own water bottles so far this year but I have now run out of extras to pass out when someone leaves theirs at home. Please remind your child to bring their own each day.

Thank you.
