Principal’s Message
Method of Instruction
It seems like a very long time ago that we asked you to make choices about the method of instructionyou felt was best for your child and your family. It’s closing in on the end of the six weeks and I’ve heard from many of you that you are pleased with the choice you made betweenIn-Person, Synchronous and ASynchronous. I’ve also heard from a few who need to change for one reason or another. The deadline for changing the method of instruction is this Friday, Sept. 25th. The choice made for the second six weeks remains ineffect through Nov. 6th(the end of the second six weeks). Changes can be made by sendingme an email or callingif you need some more info about the methods. One of the great things about having each of these options is that it allows families a great deal of flexibility when it comes to attendance. In particular for those that have chosen In-Person it allows, for example, a student to be absent for an appointment and still be counted present throughout the entire day just be using the attendance check-ins and completing assignments. Of course Synch andASynch students also have some added benefits. The bottom line is we are just happy that students are able to connect with meaningful curriculum and excellent instruction........whatever method they have chosen.
No Glass Bottles
We’ve asked that all students bring their own water to school in their own container. Moststudents have the type ofcontainers we want (something non-breakable). However a few continue to bring glass containers to school .........and we had three breaks this week. Thankfully no one was hurt but we obviously need to make sure all students have appropriate containers. Thank youfor not sending them with glass.
Friday is the last day of the six weeks. Now would be a good time to make sure all your child’s assignments are in ........and that average is above 70 (passing)..........although I know many of you have a much higher standard than passing........hint.......90 or above is that A youwant them to have.
Thanks for taking a look at the Newsletter
