WHS UIL Academic Team Competes at Regionals; Seven Students Advance to State Meet
April 20, 2021
The Wimberley High School UIL Academic team competed at the 4A Region IV meet on April 13, 16-17. Seven WHS students qualified for for the state meet by finishing in the top-three of their individual events or as part of two teams that qualified. In addition, WHS had three state alternates (4th place finish). As a team, the Texans finished in 4th place at the regional meet, behind Needville HS, Port Lavaca Calhoun HS, and Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway HS. The regional team score is a cumulative total that includes the academics events, speech and debate events, and the One Act Play.
