WHS Students Qualify for State Track Meet in 8 Events; Boys' Team Wins Regional Crown, Girls Finish 2nd

Wimberley High School students qualified for the 4A State Track and Field Meet in 8 events after competition at the 4A-Region IV Meet held at Texas A&M-Kingsville on April 23-24. The top-two finishers in each event qualified for the state track and field meet to be held at the University of Texas's Mike A. Myers Stadium on Thursday, May 6. (Additionally, athletes can qualify if they produce the best overall time, mark, or height from all 4A regional meets that did not finish first or second.) See full regional results here.
In the team standings, the WHS boys won the regional title, finishing two points in front of Pleasanton HS, and the girls' team finished 2nd overall behind Fredericksburg HS.
