Hi!  My name is Lezlie Wright and I teach 5th grade at Jacob's Well Elementary.  I am thrilled to be your students' teacher this year!  Please use this website to get the latest information about our class and view our newsletter.  

A little about me:

I grew up in Austin and graduated from Texas State with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and was fortunate to serve at the same middle school in South Austin for 14 years.  I have a background in special education and specialize in reading intervention and dyslexia. My classroom will be a place where we grow a love of learning and build meaningful relationships that reinforce the values of empathy and respect.  

When I'm not at school, you'll find me enjoying time with my family.  Mr. Wright and I have two boys and a girl, all attending WISD. We also have two dogs, two cats, and two fish.  We spend a lot of time at the baseball fields year round and enjoy being outdoors in nature.  My favorite color is purple and i love plants, rocks, and crystals. The rainbows that shine from crystals remind me that just as a rainbow appears after a storm, your light is meant to shine through darkness, inspiring and illumination the path in from of you.  Thank you for sharing your child with me!  I look forward to an amazing year!
