I am excited about joining the WHS faculty in my 19th year of teaching!  It is truly a pleasure and honor to share my love of visual art with our students. I have a bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an All-Level Teaching Certification from Texas State University. In addition to teaching art, I dedicate time to my studio practice as a painter, illustrator and screen printer. Teaching has become an opportunity for continuous growth for me as an educator, artist, mother and member of this community.  I seek to encourage a love of learning in my students as I share my passion for teaching and creating art.  Communication and compassion through the realm of artistic mediums facilitates healthier and more creative individuals of any background and level of education.  I strive to inspire my students to create, problem-solve and realize that art is comforting to the soul, builds confidence and can be a life-long creative outlet.
