Suzanne Mebane

This is my 18th year with WISD and I am delighted to be here! My previous teaching experience includes 7 years with St. Stephen’s School in Wimberley, 10 years with Canyon Middle School in New Braunfels, and 1 year with Flatonia High School. I taught science for 19 years and this is my 25th year to teach math-for a grand total of 43  years; amazingly enough, this is only my 36th year of teaching. Hint: I taught both math and science for 8 years. Presently, I have the privilege of teaching 6th grade math.

I was born and raised in San Marcos. (Third generation!) Texas A & M is where I chose to acquire my college degree. Whoop!

I have two grown children. My daughter, Nicole is currently teaching at Danforth in Wimberley. When she is not working with children, she is a travelling massage therapist. My son, David, recently returned home after being an Assistant English teacher in Sonobe, Japan.  We all love being outdoors and enjoy swimming and gardening at home as weather permits.

My family and I live on some acreage between Wimberley and San Marcos with many animals that keep us entertained. We have goats, cows, alpaca, chickens, cats, dogs, a python named Smiley and a tortoise named Willow.
