Michael Whitten, Head Coach

I am in my 3rd year here at Wimberley ISD, and my 13th year overall.  I currently teach world geography and world history. I am in my second year as the head boys basketball coach and I coach defensive backs in football. I played basketball at Concordia University Texas and graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Communications.  I also received my M.Ed. in Sports Administration in 2015. I have been married to my wife, Carey, for 17 years and we have three daughters, Hadlee (8th Grade), Bailey (6th Grade), and Rylie (3 and 1/2 years old). My family and I love all of our Texans and are looking forward to another great year of Texan Pride in this awesome community! Go Texans!

Cade Pharis, Assistant Coach

Hi, my name is Cade Pharis. 
I am in my 9th year with the district and 13th year of teaching.   I attended college at Lubbock Christian University. Once done with school, I went on to South Plains College to obtain my Emergency Medical Technician. I have been an EMT for 15 years now. I worked for Lubbock EMS and for Brownfield EMS in west Texas. I have a passion and a drive for the health care field and love to show others how awesome it can be to help others when they have an emergency. I have been married for 16 years and have three kids, Raney 18, Haden 15, Chesni 9 .  My wife was a teacher at Danforth, but has recently been moved to the Danforth Jr High Counselor. I will also be coaching Basketball and Tennis here at the high school. I have been coaching and teaching for 13 years. I am very excited to be here in Wimberley and am looking forward to a great year in the Health Science program. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Greg Dydalewicz, Assistant Coach

Hi! My name is Greg Dydalewicz. I have been teaching for 15 years. This will be my sixth year at Wimberley High School. I have also taught in Dripping Springs and Marion ISD's.  Over the years I have taught English, Journalism, Yearbook, Digital Graphics, Game Design, Animation, Audio/Video Production, and Filmmaking.

I graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 1994. I then attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) where I earned my BA, majoring in English with a minor in Exercise & Sports Science.

I currently live in Dripping Springs, TX. I have been happily married to my middle school sweetheart, Jaime, for 25 years. We have two daughters, Taylor and Haylee. Taylor is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. She graduated with a masters degree in accounting and she was an All American on the women's basketball team. Taylor is married to Klaus Bohrmann who is also a teacher and coach at Harlan High School in San Antonio. Haylee graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Criminal Law. Haylee is married to Marcus Bean and lives in Newton, Tx.  Jaime and I have two grandsons Dax (Haylee) and Beau (Taylor) and we are expecting our third in January. We also have two dogs and five cats.

I will be teaching in the CTE department at Wimberley High School focusing on Game Design, Animation, Audio/Video Production I & II, and Filmmaking.  In addition, I coach football and boys basketball. I look forward to another wonderful year!
